Nude I, II and III
Acrylic on Paper

I’ve always been fascinated with the human body. I feel it’s no less than a beautiful landscape. What inspires me the most is the fact that each human body is so different, yet so similar in many facets. There is so much mystery hidden in each human being, that we hardly get to see that through our naked eyes. I have always tried to dig within and beyond the human body – so much so that their interior feelings of joy, happiness, sorrows, miseries, life struggles, and challenges inspire me more than a mere outer form of the human body. In this series, I have challenged myself to capture human emotions and body movements within a short time frame. I have not spent more than 1-5 minutes capturing those human motions, which then after I have transformed into my artwork. This series comprises very minimal colour. Mostly I have used black and white colours.
