At the heart of the artwork stands the majestic Swayambhunath stupa, an architectural marvel that has withstood the test of time. Its ancient structure embodies the unyielding spirit of devotion and faith passed down through generations. The stupa’s pristine white surfaces, adorned with intricate golden details, reflect the purity and illumination sought by those who undertake a spiritual quest. The eyes of the Buddha, painted with serene wisdom and compassion, best shows a captivating aura of enlightenment upon the entire composition. Throughout my artistic process, I delved into the significance of the Swayambhunathsite, immersing myself in the stories of enlightenment, miracles, and sacred lore. I contemplated the beliefs that inspire the daily rituals, prayers, and circumambulations of devotees, allowing these beliefs to guide my brush and colour choices.
