Assemblage of creativity thoughts
Cultural exchange is very important to share knowledge and enhance the various forms among different countries. Artistic exchange extracting a creative boundaries is one such process where the cultures and thoughts are culminated.
Andaman Art Museum and Cultural Central is recently known as the “Treasure of Art” in Krabi. Krabi city is in the southern province on Thailand’s Andaman seaboard and is the most popular destination for tourism. Andaman Art Museum officially opened on November 2013 and the main purpose of the museum is to provide artists from Thailand and other International artists a platform, where they can work together and exchange their experiences to showcase their artworks to the public.
Second AndamanInternational Art Workshop was held at the museum premises from 17-22 February 2018 in coordination with the Thai Art Council USA and the Krabi Municipality was the main sponsor for the event.
Total of 55 artists around the world participated at this event. Artistsfrom Nepal, Thailand, Germany, Italy, Indonesia, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Poland, USA and Vietnam were the part of this platform. Dr. Kamol Tassananchalee, Thailand National artist was the chief curator for the event and the participating artists were coordinated by Wattanachot Tungateja, well known artist from Thailand.
Thailand known for a beautiful touristic place was a boost to pour the ideas on the canvas. Sense of variations in the technicalities and the inclusion of influence of the city can be revealed in the creative thoughts.
Mr. Keratesuk Phukaoluan, The Mayor of Krabi Municipality welcomedall the participating artist at the exchange program.
On 19th of February the works were displayed created at the event. It was a formal opening of the exhibition at the gallery of the Andaman Art Museum for the public to interact with the artist and the visual communication with the works created.
The works created at this event now perceived as a permanent collection at the museum.The museum currently display more than 600 artworks by artists from all around the world.
