Kathmandu Triennale

Kathmandu Triennale is a non-commercial, mega art event organized by Siddhartha Arts Foundation (SAF) to promote Nepali arts and culture.

The event presents contemporary (and traditional) art by Nepali and international artists on particular edition themes and develops programming and outreach to explore the pedagogical potential of the arts.

The 2017 iteration (KT 2017) will be the inaugural edition, curated by Philippe Van Cauteren (Belgium) on the theme of The City in association with museum Stedelijk Museum voor Actuele Kunst of Gent, Belgium.
Kathmandu Triennale (KT), previously the Kathmandu International Art Festival, is Nepal’s premier international platform for global contemporary art.

Spread over eight venues (Taragaun Museum, Nepal Art Council, Siddhartha Art Gallery, Park Gallery, New Chen Gallery, Imageark, Tangalwood and Patan Museum) in the Capital, Kathmandu Triennale showcasing works by 70 artists from 25 different countries.
